How to Turn Text Screen Black on Iphone
Customizing text display on an iPhone
Q: I was doing something in the settings of my iPhone and somehow I managed to change the text from being black on a white background to now being white on a black background. I thought I might like it, but it turns out I don't and now I can't sort out how to change it back.
A: iPhones over the years have had the ability to modify how text is displayed on the device. Changing the settings for the color of text and the color of the background are buried deep in the setting under Accessibility.
To make the change, tap on Settings, General, Accessibility, Display Accommodations and then Invert Colors. Here you can toggle Smart Invert or Classic Invert which control how the iPhone displays text and background.
If you're not running the latest version of iOS, the control for this will be under Settings, General, Accessibility, Invert colors.
In the Accessibility area of settings you can also control things like text size, brightness and host of other options to fine tune the display on your device as well as other options that affect the way the iPhone behaves.
If you find that you've made too many changes you don't like, there is a Reset option under the General section of Settings that will put everything back to default.
Q: Recently I've had trouble printing files from Acrobat Reader DC. I don't think it is a problem with my printer because it prints everything else just fine. When I go to print a PDF file my printer is selected as the output device and when I click print the computer brings up a Save File window with a file type of .prn. How can I fix this?
A: There's a setting in Adobe Acrobat that will cause the behavior you are seeing.
What Adobe is trying to do is create a PRN file that contains instructions for a printer that tell a printer how to handle the print job. It is similar to a postscript file.
PRN files are used a lot of the time for graphics when you need to send layouts to a third party for printing and are not generally useful to most of us. Your best option is to change this setting so the print information is sent directly from Adobe to your printer.
Open a PDF file in Adobe and click on File and then Print. In the Print window that pops up, click on Advanced and uncheck the Print to file option and click OK.
Now when you print to that printer you will no longer be prompted to create a PRN file.
